I get these on the apps and in messages all the time. They are a) so lazy, and b) usually come off as a way of someone saying “I’d normally be out of your league because you have a big booty… but I like big booties so you should be thankful.”
I don’t give a rat’s ass that you like any of the above. I am/have all those things so they are just facts to me. It’s like someone who hasn’t met me saying “You’re so gorgeous”. No – my photos are gorgeous. I’m not going to blush and giggle and be thankful that you find my photos gorgeous.
I know I’m gorgeous because of the whole entirety of me. People in my intimate orbit know I’m gorgeous because of the whole entirety of me.
You want to pay me a compliment before we’ve met? Tell me that something I’ve written really resonated with you and tell me why. Tell me I wrote something funny that made you laugh.
And if we meet? Do the same. Being awestruck in my presence is adorable for about 15 seconds and then you’ve got to treat me like a human being, not a goddess.
Goddess worship comes later, if you’re lucky.
