I’ve been noodling about this for decades, but reading this post by @Sadistic_Deity brought it to the surface again.
Almost every single image I see on this website of women submissives mid-scene reminds me of crime scene photos from serial killer cases.
And it’s not funny.
Yes, it is (hopefully) consensual. Yes, those women get off on it or they wouldn’t do it.
But the visuals tie directly back to the rape, torture, and murder of women and girls, and nobody talks about that.
Men who find themselves drawn to dominating women have, somewhere in the back of their head, a vast library of misogynistic violent pornography, women raped, tortured, and murdered for movie plot points, and probably some serial killer crime scene photos shaping their desires.
I’m not saying this is a problem to be solved. I’m not saying men need to do some navel gazing or talk to their shrink about it all. You can be a sadist and not a murdering sociopath. But I think, maybe, we could acknowledge this from time to time because the men who do violate boundaries and sexually assault in the name a good kinky time get away with it because the rape, torture, and murder of women in our society is so normalized it barely makes the news, and it is the foundation of hetero M/f kink.
