My answer: Almost all of it!
Bondage, for me, is the non-negotiable base of my kink. If you don’t like being restrained, well, I encourage you to look elsewhere.
What’s in my bondage bag: Leather quick pull bondage straps, leather ankle and wrist cuffs, leather collars, leather restraint strap with collar and cuffs, bondage tape, leather belts, plastic stretch wrap, nylon Velcro loops with clips, hogtie clip, steel handcuffs.
On the shopping list: leather thigh cuffs, leather cross-body bondage harness, leather straight jacket.
You may be sensing a leather theme here. I LOVE the smell and look and feel of high quality leather (sorry to my vegan friends). Yes I love latex but leather… mmmmmm.
Like many kinky folks my first foray into bondage was handcuffs. I think I got my first pair probably from Spencer Gifts when I was 19 I think. For years and years I always had a wrought iron headboard I could use with those cuffs. I had to start getting creative with leg restraints as I got more sadistic and my partners got squirmier.
I don’t do a lot of navel-gazing about my kinks. The fact that a lovely boy toy in bondage is at my mercy for all my very inappropriate touching AND the fact that he can’t get grabby with me are both valid reasons for my love of bondage.
Bondage allows me to easily run the fuck, which is my very very very favorite thing ever.
Sex and bondage aren’t always paired for me. Well, no. That’s a lie. Sorry not sorry. I may get you all snug in stretch wrap or a straightjacket or whatever and park you on the couch to watch Netflix with me but I’m probably still going to do bad things to you. It’s just how I roll.
It’s not only the control – it’s the visual aesthetic. It’s a huge turn on.
Bondage I’m not really into – CBT related (although Mr. S Leather may change my mind on that), and ropework. Rope skills take time and a lot of practice and you really need to do it enough to become an expert at it to be safest. I’d rather just use a belt to strap your arms and be good to go.
